Titanium anodization is a controlled oxidation process that forms a thin, transparent oxide layer on the metal's surface. By applying an electrical current to the titanium in an electrolytic solution, the oxide layer's thickness can be manipulated, altering its refractive index. This results in a spectrum of vibrant colors without the use of dyes or pigments. The process enhances the metal's corrosion resistance, making it not only aesthetically pleasing but also more durable.
