A brand we have well-regarded for some time now, Dries Van Noten, known for the use of opulent hues and surprising colour palates. All momentous attributes that make up the brand, we have grown to passionately appreciate over many years. For our inaugural season 'SS18' we have carefully curated a selection of pieces that reflect not only our own point of view but also the brands focusing on print, pattern and soft tailoring. The tailoring part being somewhat subtle with the careful selection of Dries classics such as the Phillip trouser and Vetch blazer that have now become classics within each of Dries' collections.
Dries Van Noten Vetch Blazer, Philip Trousers, Jacamar Cardigan and Needles Asymmetric Ghillie Sneaker. Only available at Norse Store Pilestræde 41.

The soft tailoring signals the corporate context of which has been a reoccurring theme for some seasons now, we opted to kept it low-key by dressing it ever so simply for an on and off duty look showcasing the versatility of each piece for an effortless look that bears the ambiguous idea of a conscious/unconscious look.

Dries Van Noten Javalin Knit. Only available at Norse Store Pilestræde 41.

On pattern and colour, the Javelin knit is an anchoring piece for Dries’ SS18 collection. An off-kilter piece that utilises both colour and pattern harmoniously for a vintage-retro hint. You could fairly say it is a minimal version of the iconic COOGIE sweater B.I.G. wore in some of his iconic photographs.

Dries Van Noten Jacamar Cardigan and Philip Trousers. Only available at Norse Store Pilestræde 41.

The zip through knit in a jacquard pattern caught our eyes as a piece that shouted out vintage-inspired, complementing the rest of our selection whilst standing strong as an individual piece. The intricate jacquard knit makes the garment tremendously eye-catching and desirable, automatically making it a staff favourite.

The box-cut Hawaiian shirts bring out the clear point that Dries has succeeded in hitting more than one target yet remaining consistent. True to his on-going style of using melding prints and embroidery in all silky and luxurious materials for the beating summer heat to create a distinctive product that articulates Dries.

A classic from Dries Van Noten, the Weekender Bag has been updated this season in a colourblocked faded burgundy floral print with navy and multi-coloured canvas. The size and big shoulder handles make this the perfect weekend bag. The T-Shirt sums up the whole collection by utilizing several fabrics, colours and textures used in the SS18 collection.

To conclude, even with the unfathomable approach towards each piece we have selected. It all boils down to the idea that Dries makes great clothes, with the idea of making each and every individual piece as strong as the next, creating a collection as strong as a link of chains.
