  • About the brand
Margaret Howell is a hands-on designer, one whose philosophy has always been to make clothing as she drew them - relaxed and lived in with a natural look. Margaret found inspiration in the fine make and fabric of a man’s shirt, she used quality shirting usually issued for formal wear, but making it up into a softer, less traditional shirt. As a designer, Margaret finds men’s clothing interesting in structure, feel and functionality, after all this she started making womenswear when she realised that women wanted the men’s clothing she was producing.
