This season, Junya Watanabe MAN reimagines iconic art — and their artists — with bold applications on a range of pieces. This sweater, crafted in a cotton and acrylic blend, sports one of Andy Warhol's soup can graphics. Woven in a jacquard weave, the can offers a serving of Pepper Pot soup against a beige background. Ribbing at the cuffs, collar, and hem completes the look.

  • About the brand
Born in Japan in 1961, Junya Watanabe started his apprenticeship at Comme des Garçons as a patternmaker in 1984. His mentor, the founder Rei Kawakubo, saw potential in Junya and promoted him to chief designer of the Tricot knitwear line in 1987. In 1993, Junya created his first line working under his own name as part of Comme des Garçons.
Junya Watanabe takes a lot of influence from Kawakubo, but focuses on adding a personal approach to his garments. He is renowned for reworking classic pieces with a twist, giving great attention to detail.
