A Junya Watanabe MAN reinterpretation of a classic collared puffer. This jacket is crafted with three different aesthetic segments in tow. The jacket’s exterior offers a wool plaid construction, equipped with corduroy details at the garment’s collar and hand pockets. An invisible zipper closure is hidden by a traditional buttoned flap placket. The backside features an upper collar cotton yoke. The garment’s elbows are reinforced with cotton patches that supply a subtle western-inspired flair. A bright orange and camo-styled interior cotton and nylon lining complete the look.

  • About the brand
Born in Japan in 1961, Junya Watanabe started his apprenticeship at Comme des Garçons as a patternmaker in 1984. His mentor, the founder Rei Kawakubo, saw potential in Junya and promoted him to chief designer of the Tricot knitwear line in 1987. In 1993, Junya created his first line working under his own name as part of Comme des Garçons.
Junya Watanabe takes a lot of influence from Kawakubo, but focuses on adding a personal approach to his garments. He is renowned for reworking classic pieces with a twist, giving great attention to detail.
